Vasquez Ranch Sales Policies & Agreements
​We are now accepting reservations for our 2026 Spring births. To initiate the reservation process for a kid(s), please complete the reservation request form. Upon receipt of your completed form, we will provide you with detailed instructions about payment and the next steps.
Reservations
Please complete a reservation request form for your selected kid(s). Deposits are as follows: $100 for an unborn doe or buck, and $50 for an unborn wether. For animals that have already been born, a deposit of 50% is required to secure your selection; all final payments must be made in cash.
Kindly refer to our kidding schedule for breeding dates. You will be notified once the kids are born and will then have 24 hours to make your selection and submit any necessary payments. If we do not receive your response within 48 hours, your turn will be forfeited. Please ensure that your contact information is up to date so we can reach you without difficulty.
As breeders, we reserve the right to retain any goat before it departs from the ranch.
Customers may also be placed on our notification list for doelings and bucklings. If you are on the notification list, we will notify you when/if the goat(s) you are interested in become available, but the goat(s) will be offered to other customers at the same time. For this reason, please specify the fastest way of getting in touch with you. The first customer to confirm that they want the goat, can pick it up promptly, and place a half-down deposit, will get the goat. We do not hold goats unless we receive a deposit. Note that customers who have placed a deposit to reserve a goat get preference over customers on the notification list.

Our Prices
Prices for kids are determined upon breeding. The pricing reflects the quality of each breeding and considers the additional features such as polled status, blue eyes, and color variations.
Discounts
We extend a discount to members of 4-H. Proof of membership in the club is required. We discount for buying multiple kids at the same time.
Payments
Deposits are non-refundable, except at the sole discretion of Vasquez Ranch. They may either be given up or applied to the following season.

We accept payments via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or cash.
If you are unable to collect your goats when they are ready, you may request a boarding contract.
Vasquez Ranch Breeding Rights
We retain the authority to terminate any contract and retain any animal at our discretion. In such instances, all payments will be refunded, or an alternative animal will be offered.
If the buyer chooses to sell the animal in the future, Vasquez Ranch requests the right of first refusal. Should we decline to exercise this right, we will do our best to assist you in rehoming the animal.

Disbudding
For safety purposes, all goats are disbudded. Please note that we cannot guarantee the absence of scurs (minor horn regrowth). If you prefer your goat to remain horned, full payment is required upon birth.
Vaccinating the animals
We do not vaccinate any of our goats on our ranch due to personal preference. We recommend discussing vaccination options with your veterinarian. Should you choose to vaccinate your animals, this responsibility will rest with you.
Bottle Babies
At Vasquez Ranch, we provide bottle-feeding for all young animals to monitor their nutrition and growth progress closely. This approach also encourages positive interactions with humans, fostering friendly behavior among the animals.
Health Guarantees
All animals at Vasquez Ranch are certified to be in good health at the time of purchase. We are pleased to offer veterinary examinations of the goats before they leave, at the buyer's expense. If the veterinarian determines that any goat is unhealthy, a refund will be issued.

We do not guarantee confirmation, height, or milking ease. We strive to breed the best but do not guarantee future health, growing or production

Confirmation, height, and milking ease are not guaranteed. While we make every effort to breed high-quality livestock, we cannot assure future health, growth, or production outcomes.

Buyers Duties
Once a goat departs from our farm, whether accompanied by the buyer or transported, responsibility for the animal's care transfers to the purchaser. Our health guarantee does not cover the animal after it has left our ranch.
Registering your goat
Our herd is composed of animals registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). If you have an ADGA account, we will register your doe or buck online. For individuals without an account, we provide paper registration upon purchase.
